What changes await Ukrainian carriers?

Introduction of a new mandatory sticker for Ukrainian carriers

According to the new rules defined by the Agreement on the Liberalization of Freight Transportation between Ukraine and the EU, from July 10, Ukrainian carriers must have a new sticker on the windshield of their trucks. This 5 cm sticker will facilitate the identification of vehicles carrying out transport under the Agreement, preventing cabotage. There are also a number of other requirements for carriers, including having a license for transportation, cargo documents and confirmation of the type of transportation on board.

Requirements for Ukrainian carriers

1. Carriage license: Carriers must have an extract of the license for international transportation in English with a QR code.
2. Cargo documents: When leaving Ukraine with an empty vehicle, you must have documents confirming the return with the cargo.
3. Documents to confirm the type of transportation: During the entire flight, there must be documents on board in paper or electronic form that confirm the type of transportation (bills of lading, freight invoices, cargo customs declarations, etc.).
4. Documents for returning an empty truck: When returning an empty truck to Ukraine, you must have documents confirming the transportation of the cargo in a direct connection.
5. Sticker on the windshield: There must be a 5 cm sticker on the windshield of the vehicle. If the carrier does not carry out the transportation according to the terms of the Agreement, the sticker must be hidden.
   
   
   

Transition period and full implementation

Until July 10, there will be a transition period during which carriers must provide all trucks with the necessary documents and stickers. After this date, the new rules will become mandatory for all companies carrying out transportation under the Agreement.

The purpose of the innovation

The new sticker and other requirements are aimed at facilitating the control of cargo transportation between Ukraine and the EU, increasing the level of security and ensuring compliance with the terms of the Agreement. This should contribute to more transparent and efficient transport operations, preventing unauthorized cabotage.
